Vibrant South East gears up for brand-new handling show

Delighted with the success of the first of our three regional materials handling shows, exhibition organiser Quartz is looking forward to the ShD South East which takes place at the Kent Showground, near Maidstone, on 17th September.

Fresh from a successful inaugural show in Scotland, exhibition organiser Quartz is now heavily promoting ShD South East, a brand-new event that will showcase a diverse range of materials handling equipment & logistics services.

The South East’s economy is undoubtedly buoyant. The region’s excellent location, close to both the capital and the Continent, gives it tremendous advantages over other UK regions. Incorporating the ports of Dover, Southampton and Felixstowe, the Channel Tunnel and the new high-speed rail link, plus all the London airports, the South East is the natural gateway to Europe and beyond. The most successful regional economy after London, the South East contains no less than 22% of England’s motorway network, has an estimated output of £177 billion – roughly the same size economy as Norway – and, at 8.2 million, the largest regional population in the UK.
